weekend at moms

I will show you and teach you in the way you should go. I will tell you what to do with My eye upon you.

Psalm 32:8 NLT

We went out to mom’s from friday morning to yesterday late last night.  My parents have company and they went on a vacation for vday so i took over.

Hubs and I got to go out for a few hours on vday and it was wonderful.  We went out to eat (Olive Garden), Target, Gander Mountain & Barnes&Noble.  Those are all stores we don’t have in our little town so every day trips to those places for most people end up being special trips to us. In the end it was wonderful getting away for a few hours with just the 2 of us.

While we were at mom’s for the weekend we got an email from our oldest’s school.  She has a hard time focusing which is something we have been working with ever since she started school.  We see it at home, but since she gets way more one-on-one at home it doesn’t affect her in the same way.  She’s very social and throwing no focus into that, it just gets overwhelming so we have tried doing more at home to help her.  Does anyone else out there have a little one that can’t focus well?  Do you have any suggestions to help with reading and comprehension? She’s in the first grade and we are doing a charter school to help.  She is able to be up and around and be her creative little self, but she just has a tough time with that reading.  It’s already a hard thing to get down. ugh, expectations on little ones gets to me too… there are just too many.

other than all that!!!

We are finally home and i’m exhausted, but i’m happy to back here.  Going to different places is always fun, but home is home.
